There are 7 types of fools in the world
The Love Fool – Made famous by the Cardigans, a love fool is someone who knows that the other person isn’t in the relationship is no longer in love. However, the love fool doesn’t care and hopes that the other person continues to lie about the status of the relationship.
The King’s Fool – One view of the fool in the court of a king was the only one who could ridicule the king without facing any real consequences. Because the fool wasn’t supposed to be taken seriously, he would be able to make jokes that poked fun at his majesty and the policies of the king. The King’s Fool wasn’t always exempt from consequences, but he was the only one in the kingdom who had the right position to state the unvarnished truth because, in this case, comedy was king. The Poor Fool – A fool and his money are soon parted. The Tom Fool – This relatively harmless fool is known for his or her penchant for buffoonery. Having a good time is important, and that means being playful. The Gold Fool – Not all that glitters is gold, and the gold fool proves it. Beautiful on the outside, the Gold Fool is the proof that judging a book by its cover is a terrible idea. Whenever falsehoods are called for, however, this fool could be of use. The Hardy Fool – Healthy, strong, resilient and tough, the Hardy Fool (no relation to the Hardy Boys) is known for his or her charging into danger without thinking about the consequences. You need someone who is just beyond brave this is the fool to find. The Consistent Fool – “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson. This fool stays the course longer than is absolutely necessary. A damn the torpedoes attitude can be reckless or required. The problem is that this fool never sees the torpedoes, and even when they strike, he or she will still stay the course. “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results” may be the definition of insanity according to Albert Einstein, but this fool never even considers the results. |
