March Madness Edition
Issue 5
To my friends and readers:
March has certainly lived up to its moniker, and it’s only the sixth. I can’t wait to see what happens the rest of the month.
I was going to try to make this the most eclectic set of topics covered to date in our newsletter, but I got passionate about a couple of topics (and we all know what happens when I get passionate). So instead of mentioning anything about college basketball, of which I have had no time to research, I decided to go with what we got here.
I hope that March Madness inspires you to go out and do something, you’ve never done before, something you’ve always wanted to do, and if it doesn’t, beware the Ides – sometimes they’re early, sometimes they’re late, but they are coming. Learn from my experience, and you’ll be prepared for anything. (The Ides have already taken one pot shot at me.)
This is also the issue where I am going to reveal my plans to go to the Peace Corps. I have not received an official invitation that says I am going, but I am fairly confident that they will send me one. This opens up the opportunity for one of my lucky readers to become an editor!
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
Dedication – about once a month bring out a newsletter
Creativity – you’re in control; you have to write about something
Time – It depends on how fast you write
Money – you have to pay for postage and photocopies; about $30
Opinion – what do you think I have been living from?
So if you are interested, let me know. I will send you all of the materials you need along with instructions, luck and encouragement. Otherwise, our newsletter will be put to rest until like Frankenstein’s monster, I bring it to life.
Enjoy
