Think Tank
Martin Luther King Jr. Edition
Issue 3
To my friends and readers:
Unfortunately, I was unable to produce a Christmas issue of Think Tank. With finals, the holidays, work and my general laziness, I slacked. So that which you are now reading has been termed “Martin Luther King Jr. Edition.” There are no articles on race relations, nothing about civil rights – directly at least. It’s just the designation of this issue. No disrespect intended, of course.
This issue you will have the special privilege of being introduced to the Kingdom of Filtwater for the first time in print in our century. These stories are of a somewhat less serious nature than the last two stories, meaning they are comedic. I hope they bring the fun and laughter to you that they brought to Kathy and me when we were writing them.
Since the season to be giving has just passed but the needy are not just needy during the Yuletide, remember to do at least one good thing in honor of the holidays. Peace on Earth, goodwill toward men and all that. And just to help motivate you, I’ve included some of the numbers of our favorite people: what they have given and what they’re worth. I’ve also tried to calculate what it would be if I were to try to match them percentage-wise based on the income of 1996.
With this issue, I am wishing everyone a happy holiday (whichever one that may be) and an especially good new year. That would include all the months from January to December 1998.
Speaking of months, I am still looking to Ground Hog’s Day for the next issue. While that may be a little ambitious, I will do my best to get it out. Until then, enjoy life – it really isn’t all work.
Sincerely
Think Tank
