Chocolate nirvana at Melita Gardens
Ever since leaving Alaska and its awesome Modern Dwellers Chocolate Lounge, I have searched to find a place that serves a true drinking chocolate. Tonight, I was once again able to experience heaven for my mouth. Melita Gardens offers at least nine kinds of drinking chocolates. The number is mind-blowning as is the variety.
If you have never had drinking chocolate before, your mouth has missed out. Drinking chocolate combines the awesomeness of chocolate with the awesomeness of more chocolate. It is a thick, beautiful drink that goes down smoothly.
One sip removes every other thought in your head as you experience the moment of joy, warmth and deliciousness without anything interfering with the process. It is as if someone has come up with the formula for triggering the flow or the zone. There are very few things in the world that people stop to feel good about. Drinking chocolate is one of those.
As far as I could tell from the menu in Italian, there is nothing like Modern Dwellers Spicy Mayan, so I will still have to figure out how to get back to Alaska at some point. Still, with Melita Gardens so dangerously close to where I live, I may have to stop eating chocolate eggs with surprises in them and turn my budget toward chocolate nirvana, where meditation and a higher plane of existence is just a sip away.
