PhotoPass: What do you get?
For your entire vacation, you will either collect Photopass cards or you will have all of the photos attached to one card depending on how organized you are. Chances are that unless you are an annual pass holder, you will end up with at least three cards – that’s okay. They can all be put on the same account when you go in to the Camera Shop.
In Disneyland, the PhotoPass CD is relatively inexpensive at about $75 including tax. Walt Disney World is more expensive, but that is because you get more at WDW. You want to buy the CD and download your photos from the Internet.

The first time I bought a PhotoPass, I had them put the photos on a CD for me. That meant that I couldn’t get any new photos from the time that I had the CD made and the time I left the park. It also meant that I missed out on the extra photos of park icons that are on the CD.
The Internet download process is easy and fast. You have a month to download all of the photos, and it will be worth it. Once they are downloaded, you can burn them on the CD if you want – just make sure that you back the data up somehow. All of the photos come in high quality renditions!
If you are a Disney Visa card holder, you will still get the free 5 X 7 hard copy, but you will also get all of the other photos from your Meet and Greet experience.
The only photos that are not included on the CD are the ones that are on park attractions, and the ones that are done at the character meals.
Knowing that you are getting the PhotoPass ahead of time makes it an easy decision to have all of the crazy photos taken all over the park without regret, especially now that everything is digital. (And you won't have to rely on selfies to make sure that everyone is in the photo.)
